The theme of 2018’s Global Engineering Congress hosted by the Institution of Civil Engineers was ‘Mobilising the global engineering community to deliver the Sustainable Development Goals’.
BRE held an evening reception with guest speaker Chris Newsome OBE of the Green Construction Board. Chris is Chair of an Infrastructure Working Group within the Green Construction Board. The Green Construction Board was established to drive forward the actions set out in the ‘Low Carbon Construction Action Plan’. Chris reviewed what has been achieved in the last 5 years since the launch of the Infrastructure Carbon Review.
